Hi, I'm Jane Ackels, a creative professional who thrives on bringing visions to life. My experience ranges from corporate marketing functions to personalized art commissions. I blend design, content, and strategy to deliver meaningful results, with user needs always at the heart of the process.
I am passionate about creative solutions that can improve, enrich, or simplify people's lives, and I strive to learn, grow, and push boundaries, knowing that innovation is the key to solving complex problems.
My work blends creativity with strategic thinking, ensuring that every project delivers compelling and/or results-driven solutions. A sense of the bigger picture allows me to zoom in freely on the small things.
And my approach has always been multidisciplinary: honed through a degree in Communication & Studio Art from Santa Clara University, with a specialism in Design Thinking, I enjoy being able to work across a range of platforms, and love to expand my capabilities.
When I'm not developing brand identities, crafting digital campaigns, copywriting, or designing websites, you’ll find me curating playlists, keeping up with the latest trends in design and fashion, or spending time outside - probably taking pictures.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about me! I hope you enjoy exploring my portfolio. To request my corporate work portfolios, view my resume, or get to know me further, please reach out.
Artist Statement:
Taking a closer look and discovering something new is an idea that I welcome, and greatly appreciate. This manifests itself in my art in one of two ways: through light and reflections, or through small elements coming together to form something new and beautiful.
My two-dimensional works tend to be centrally focused, and with a graphic feel. I have always been captivated by the idea of capturing light, and of being able to witness an altered reality through reflections. Therefore, I tend to gravitate towards the use of metallic inks and paints. This allows a two-dimensional piece to “change” based upon the light or angle that you use to view it.
Every individual contribution towards a greater whole matters. Whether it's one tree in a forest, or one piece of a puzzle, each component has its own unifying aspect with those around it, while also having the power to influence the visual as a whole. My artistic process also tends to reflect these values: each line that I draw, or mark that I make, is an integral part of the greater visual.
